“Gentry Events did a spectacular job on my daughter's wedding at Turtle Bay Resort. She created a private luau and after party that was very impressive. Our guest's travelled from far and wide so having the perfect event was extremely important. We wanted them to have the island experience with and upscale twist. There were stunning couches set around so everyone could relax and watch the show! We had traditional Hawaiian food with flair! The tent was incredible and draped with stunning florals and lights. The setting for the vows was ocean front with a beautiful arch. Gentry did not miss a beat. It was visually stunning wherever you looked. Her attention to detail was impeccable!”

We worked with Gentry for our son's and daughter in law's wedding held at Turtle Bay Resort on April 8. It was spectacular. From our initial phone calls and meetings over zoom and throughout the whole process start to finish Gentry was a true professional and easy to work with. She knows her stuff like no other catering person or event planner I have ever worked with. And I used to do that job myself a lifetime ago. She is so thorough and efficient and no task was too big or too small for her to handle. My husband nicknamed her DONE!!! Anything you needed or asked for was just DONE...even last minute asks outside of her realm were seamlessly and perfectly taken care of. Even a last minute call to her just as we were taking off for Hawaii for ground transportation because our initial plan fell through. She was a godsend as we are almost 6,000 miles away from the venue. We fell in love with Gentry and were so pleased with all of he vendors she set us up with and even how she directed the rehearsal and The entire time frame for the wedding and reception. You can not go wrong with her. She won't let you!!!

Not sure where to even start? Gentry is absolutely PHENOMENAL!! She planned, coordinated and carried out the wedding of our dreams. At first, I thought we did not need a wedding coordinator and found out veerrryyy quickly just how much time and effort goes into planning such a memorable event. Gentry was there every step of the way to guide us through the entire process (without ever making it feel like work and making the process fun!). Her organizational skills are simply unmatched. Gentry's passion for her career and compassion for her clients is truly remarkable. She lifted ALL of the stress off our shoulders from keeping in constant contact with all of our vendors to having a VERY detailed wedding day timeline from start to finish. Gentry was the first and last person at our wedding which goes to show just how dedicated she is to her clients. She even made sure that my husband and I had a few minutes alone to take in our special day (something that I never would of thought of but meant so much to us). The list just goes on and on. Having Gentry as our wedding coordinator is hands down the best decision we made. Gentry, we appreciate you and just can't thank you enough for making our wedding day the best day of our lives.

I can't even describe how AMAZING Gentry was to work with. For starters, she was the nicest, friendliest, most easy to work with woman I could have asked for. She took every small idea I had and planned such an amazing graduation party... I genuinely couldn't have imagined anything better. She made me feel stress free with her amazing organization, and was a wonderful support through it all. If you want a wedding coordinator who is as hands on as Gentry, what're you waiting for?! I am an Event Supervisor at Paradise Cove and it is my job to oversee all small or large events that take place on our property and I was blessed enough to witness how much of a badass woman Gentry is. She executes her job duties in such a graceful and professional manner. She checked in with me multiple times throughout the night to ensure that everything was going smoothly. My staff had nothing but great things to say about Gentry and they agreed, 10/10 highly recommend her to plan your future wedding! Words cannot express my gratitude for Gentry. First of all, she is a PHENOMENAL event planner/coordinator. She coordinated my wedding in August and I can honestly say that she went above and beyond what we had envisioned for our big day and also for everything leading up to it. Her passion for her work is very evident in all that she does, and her enthusiasm made her so much fun to work throughout the wedding planning process. She knows the best vendors out there, which is so valuable because there are so many to choose from! Gentry is also incredibly organized and methodical, and she is always thinking 10+ steps ahead so we never fell behind during any stages of planning. She had a very clear communication style with us, the wedding party, and with the vendors, which made the wedding day flow very smoothly. During the big day Gentry was calm, enthusiastic, and excellent at time management. She kept everything up to schedule, but she was also flexible to changes if necessary. I could honestly go on forever about how amazing Gentry is at what she does, so if you have an event coming up, don't hesitate to choose her! We would choose her 1000x over again.

Our wedding was truly a dream come true, and we owe it all to the incredible work of Gentry Doka and the Events by Gentry team.With only a loose vision of what we wanted, we hired Gentry to step in to assist on the logistics. Unlike so many folks who do day-of only, Gentry began two months prior, tirelessly and creatively, to help manifest it all. She coordinated the stunning floral arrangements from Cocolani Gardens, managed multiple food vendors seamlessly, and completely transformed our local tennis court into a glamorous, high-energy venue! Gentry's dedication and attention to detail were remarkable. She flawlessly managed our timelines and anticipated every possible issue, even those we hadn't thought of ourselves (like power supplies/levels, sprinkler systems, additional bathrooms, dumpsters, and other crazy things we never expected). Her extensive expertise in event planning made the entire process stress-free and straight-up enjoyable. We feel like we got to relish the entire lead up to the wedding -- and that is so unique to how Gentry works. She values being there for your process and making it as simple and fun as possible. Events by Gentry is, without a doubt, the best in the business. She gifted the ability to be guests of honor at our wedding and enjoy every second. Oh, and Gentry is also just a WONDERFUL human. As a business owner and someone who plans a lot of events I was very ambivalent about hiring a wedding coordinator for my daughters wedding. In fact I tried tried to talk her out of it as I believed that I could do the job- since I planned so many events on my own. I can honestly say that there’s been very few times in my life where I’ve been so wrong, and this was one of them. Gentry was amazing! She worked with us to stay within our budget, and delivered the wedding of my daughters dreams. She created a vision board and from start to finish she communicated with us every step of the way. She had several awesome recommendations, but she was also very flexible on where we wanted to go our own way. On the day of the wedding, I cannot express enough how smoothly it went and how much confidence I felt in her and her team. They were amazing! At the start of the process, I had a wedding coordinator/planner and in the end I feel like I walked away with a friend.
